November Favorites

It's official, the holiday season has begun. All the trees are being put up, lights are being hung, attics are being explored for the first time since last January, people are shopping huge deals online today for Cyber Monday, and the 25 days of Christmas on ABC starts tomorrow. As I get older I realize this time of the year whips around faster and faster each time. Does it ever stop!? Regardless, I brought all my favorites from this past month together for a little November reunion. Most of these are great stocking stuffers, if you are attempting to multitask like I am, take some notes. Lets get into it!

I have separated each product into smaller categories so if you're looking for just palettes, keep on scrolling. Okuur!?

Hair

Davines Love/Smooth Shampoo

This is an Italian brand of hair care that was in my October Birchbox that I have talked about a few times since my first impression was out of this world. I really can't believe how soft my curls are, even without additional products. Letting my hair air dry is a part of my normal routine and this product allows me to not worry about taming my mane once it is dry. The deluxe sample of shampoo only came with a one time use packet of conditioner which is disappointing but the marketing totally worked on me. I have been pairing it with Herbal Essences Naked conditioner and it's still great!

Makeup

Kiss Gel Fantasy Press On Nails

I am still working on a tutorial for these press on nails because I have had a lot of friends ask how I get them to last so long, but I am still deciding if this should be a how to post or a video. Let me know what you think below! These nails will last me anywhere from 7-9 days without pop offs but I always carry the glue with me just in case. They come in fun designs and all different lengths but the medium blue black ones are my favorite from this past month. They are so fun and there is absolutely no chipping of the polish, so I'm always happy with them!

Urban Decay Subversion

I bought this product in the Sephora Favorites - Time to Prime set and I love it. That is a great set to purchase for yourself or to break up into individual gifts! Make it work! This is a light, almost whipped, formula that you use as a primer on the eye lashes. I coat the lashes, top and bottom, real good and it makes them look longer and stronger than just putting mascara on. In the photo I put the Stila Huge Extreme Lash Mascara because these two products are two peas in a pod. They work so beautifully together and I didn't realize how well until I used a MAC mascara with it and it flaked all night! So I am not sure how universal this product is yet, but with Stila it makes me look like I've got butterflies on there without falsies.

Palettes

Becca After Glow Palette

Becca's palettes are so worth the money when you are just starting out or want to try multiple high enders. This collection of 5 best sellers is beautiful and I have used them as highlights, blushes, bronzers, and even eye shadows. Out of all of the products I have began using these past few months, this one is the most universal! This is an Ulta exclusive for $40 but if you think about it, each one purchased separately is $38. So for trying out something new, this would be on my list in a heart beat! This palette includes the Shimmering Skin Perfector in Moonstone, Rose Gold, and Topaz, and the Mineral Blush in Wild Honey and Flowerchild. All of these have the same creamy formula as Champagne pop and all have an amazing pay off. I have been mixing Topaz and Wild Honey for a subtle bronze with Flowerchild as my blush!

Kat Von D Mi Vida Loca Remix Palette

Back in October, I was looking for the perfect vibrant colored palette that I could use for Halloween but this palette exceeds expectations. I've owned plenty of KVD lipsticks, a few shadows and blushes, but never a palette like this. The formula is a bit powdery but very blendable. They play well with other shadows like Milani and Urban Decay. The color pigmentation is amazing and well worth it for any makeup lover! The only downside to this palette is the packaging, I understand the intention to look like a record however it makes the palette so bulky and not too easy for traveling. Regardless, I have been reaching for this palette in almost every look that I have done recently. I hope these puppies are still in stock at Sephora!

Accessories

Faux Seude Pointed Flats

Due to the fact that I believe flats can we worn year round, they can be dressed up and dressed down, I tend to purchase them where ever I go. This time I was getting dressed up for the release party for the Preston & Steve 2016 calendar where my friend was one of the makeup artists, and I  could not find the left shoe of the only pair that matched my dress. I ransacked my room and no luck, so I was running around the mall and found these awesome little buggers at Forever 21 for like $13 and they are so simple but look so sophisticated. Normally I am a size 10 but in these I wish I would have gotten a size 9. Either way, they are totally worth the price and just as cute as the ones at Payless.

Sephora Solid Brush Cleaner

This is a solid cleanser that smells amazing! It comes with a small bumpy rubber insert that is used to deep clean the brush while the soap breaks up all dirt and oil within the bristles. The packaging makes it great for traveling and Sephora advertises that it can be used for everyday use but I don't know about you but I don't have time to clean my brushes daily. I normally use the Makeup Forever Instant Brush Cleanser that is great for a quick cleanse in between uses whether you're using different colors on one look or if you are cleaning in between clients. The Sephora one has been an amazing deep cleanser, it leaves the brushes clean of any residue like other solid cleansers and even works well with the beauty blender!

Be Spotted - The Voyager Bag

Sephora comes out with cute makeup travel bags every year but this year snatched my heart! I have been in love with rose gold for a few months now and this bag spoke to me! It is a medium bag with a rose gold cheetah print with a soft cream colored background. The bag is soft but has a sturdy frame and a nice zipper. I fell in love with this pattern so much that I purchased 2 matching Z-Palettes and the mini-brush set. Everything is so cute and so worth it, except for the brushes, but I will leave that for another post.
