New Years Eve Glam

Image
For those of you who are looking for makeup that is going to rock your socks off and ring in the new year looking fierce as hell, then you have found it. I was inspired by Nikkie Tutorials posts and videos surrounding a double cut crease or as some people call a double wing. I am not going to lie and say that this was simple to do, there were times where I had too much space between each line or not enough, just practice a few times and make it work with the colors and products you are using. Don't forget to check out the products used for each part of the face! Drugstore Brush Guide

Image
To followup on the drugstore look a few posts ago, I wanted to give you all affordable brush options. My favorites are from Real Techniques, EcoTools, and Amazon. These are the brushes I use on a daily basis and in my next post for the drugstore mini series, I will be focusing on how to clean these brushes. When I started building my collection of brushes, I needed a set that was affordable but still well made to complete more looks. I wanted a set specifically for the face and came across this listing on Amazon . The set of 10 brushes is currently posted around $10, which is unheard of for a decent first set. Within the first year of owning these I have only had to throw one away from shedding. I have chosen these brushes time and time again for foundation, concealer, primer, and many other various uses over high end brushes that I spent over 4xs as much on just one brush alone. Check these out, for the price it really is worth it. Real Techniques started early on with amazi

For the winter I will be watching Frozen on repeat into the new year, and no I will not let it go. Arendell's queen is always rocking gorgeous purple smokey eyes and I was inspired to recreate this look using the Kat Von D Mi Vida Loca Remix palette. The shades Echo and Anthem spoke to me, but any similar purples will do! Chit Chat 2

Merry Christmas! I hope everyone had a lovely holiday yesterday and today! Nick and I are so exhausted but I wanted to have a small chit chat with you before my head hits the pillow. So this past week has been hectic with working 40 hours in 4 days while making sure all the presents were purchased and wrapped, all the cookies, muffins, and cupcakes were baked, iced, and wrapped, and the car was packed before we left. With all this work there is a wonderful pay off, where for two days we spent every minute with our families who were in the area. After my parents moved down to Florida my friends took me in for the holidays. It started with a good friend and her family taking me on their Christmas adventures to a party and covering whatever we could find in chocolate. And in the morning they would find the pickle hung on the tree, very cute tradition that I won that year. The next year I had met Nick and we started the tradition of spending Christmas with his parents. Christmas eve wa

Simple Holiday Look

Image
Last night was a night out on the town with good friends and a little help from Dave & Busters. Not to toot my own horn but I won a portable plastic wine glass and a large Pixy Stix with all my tickets. And the fun didn't end there, we did a midnight run to Geno's. What a nomtastic journey that was! The entire time Nick and I were running around tonight I was rocking this simple holiday look using only drugstore products. Yes, all of the products I used to complete this look, including the brushes, can all be found at the drugstore, Target, Walmart, or online for drugstore prices. Some of the products I have used before and some of them were brand new. Most of them impressed me and only one product was a complete dud. The breakdown of the look is going to be broken down a little differently in this post so you can get a feel for the drugstore products used! Cleanse & Moisturize. I started by using Neutrogena Pore Refining Exfoliating Cleanser ,  $7.59 , to smooth

Holiday Vamp Look

Less than a week until Christmas and only that much closer to a new year, and I still have presents to wrap, cookies to bake, parties to attend, and posts to write. This is where I have started to find my peace, that through the chaos of Christmas, I feel creatively driven to try out new things and those new things may entail busting out an old glamour dust from Too Faced. Seriously, I don't remember when I bought it, but it is still going strong. I try not to hash out too many details on here, but I am still finding my way. Hopefully in the new year I can find my voice in the sea of beauty bloggers, vloggers, and all those in between. For now, I am sticking with these holiday looks from glam to simple. All the products are listed below and don't forget to comment below what you think about the look! Winter Skin Care

Image
Before the snow starts hitting the ground, I wanted to share my winter skin care routine with you. Skin care is crucial during this time of the year to prevent certain areas from drying out and becoming irritated. To keep your skin feeling luscious and beautiful before the winter air hits it don't forget to add moisture back in without breaking the bank! Cracked and dry heels are a force to be reckoned with anytime of the year, but during the winter my feet see a lot more attention from wrapping them up in cute fuzzy socks on the daily. My favorite lotion that really moisturizes the heck out of this problem area of mine is actually from the dollar store. Yes, I know, the dollar store! White Rain's Boutique Collection sold at Dollar Tree has a Daily Foot & Heel Cream that works so well, I would even pay more than $1 for it. I have been using my first tube for almost a year and my feet have never looked better. Literally. As for the socks pair with the lotion to wear overni

That time of the month where I receive a little package made out to the delightful Krystal has come again! I've started keeping these boxes because they are so cute! This month's box seemed like it was sent to the wrong house. Out of the entire box I will be giving a lot of these products away, but I still wanted to give you a run down of what I received. Coupon. Birchbox was nice enough to also include a $10 coupon towards any purchase of $35+ in the Birchbox Shop! Can't wait to do a little shopping this month in that shop!
