Where I've been for 2.5 years

Hey there! I’d like to reintroduce myself, I’m Krystal and welcome to my blog! I am now 28 and still living in the West Chester area with my boyfriend and fur babies (we’ve added another kitty, Callie, to the family since my last post J ). I’m totally still obsessed with binge watching TV shows and keeping my positivity up when I can. Writing has been such a huge part of my life since high school. It was my creative outlet until college where I felt put in a box without being able to speak my truth through each key stroke. So it seemed I needed a purpose for every perfectly structured sentence and I found that I couldn’t perform creatively under those circumstances. I needed an unrefined and unrestricted flow and this is where I found myself. At first, I started blogging to share my wellness journey that I didn’t even realize at the time was the beginning. I wanted to challenge myself to stop drinking Coke and I did it. I shared how drinking more water and no soda started cha

Kylie Cosmetics Birthday Collection

This is long over-due, however in my list of hauls I would like to post, this is the most exciting. At least in my opinion. Who knew that I shared a birthday with a Kardashian and her b-day lippie would be Leo. I became obsessed, even though I owned nothing from her line and had no desire to until then. Leo Leo, for me, was a must have. Between the deep burgundy color and the name, I accidentally ordered 2 kits I was so excited. Little did I know this lippy wouldn't live up to what I thought it was. The lip liner glides on like a charm but is not even when attempting to fill in the entire lips. When wearing the liquid lip with or without the liner, it becomes cracked through out the day, and continues to wear off starting from the center of the mouth. Now this is completely normal for a liquid to matte lip stick to dry and possibly crack, however, KVD and ABH ones will last all day before doing so. The color is beautiful, but I do not believe this product was worth it. P

Another Update!

Happy Fall!!! Who knew that working 7 days a week wouldn't allow me time to update on the blog! I have finally cut my hours so I can come right back on here and keep sharing my love of everything beauty just in time for fall. There are a few posts lined up for the rest of this week including a few more hauls, favorites, and I am already planning out the rest of my Halloween looks for the month of October. In the past few months I have gone to a new job, trained, and I am actually starting to feel at home here. I think I mentioned it before, but for those of you reading for the first time, my full time job is in an office in the world of ticketing. Ticketing for concerts, sports, and anything you can think of for venues on our client list. So along with being able to test products daily since my work days are shorter, I am also starting to get back into attending games and concerts in my area! As you may have seen on my snap chat, I was given tickets to a Philadelphia Union gam

Broken Doll

Image
For my first official look of the Halloween season I recreated the Broken Doll from Wet n Wild's page! This took about 4 hours to complete and took a lot of patience. Enjoy! To prep and prime, I cleaned the skin with Clinique Clarifying Lotion 3 and Murad Oil-Control Mattifier . I then took the white cream face paint from the Fantasy Makers by Wet n Wild Cream Palette in Queen of the Dead to cover my entire face. Everything was covered in the white except my eye lids. From there I used the Real Techniques sponge to set my face with NYX HD Studio Photogenic Finishing Powder . Later on I realized that the eye shadow Skulls, from the Kat Von D Mi Vida Loca Remix Palette, gave a pearly, almost doll like finish. Once my face was whited out, I started on the eyes by priming with Smashbox 24 Hour Photo Finish Shadow Primer . For the eyes I used two shadows from the Too Faced Naked Eye Palette. I started in the crease with a deep grey, Lap Dance, and covered the lid with S

This absolutely long overdue! I have purchased a bunch of stuff these past few months and its only fair to show you all my goodies that you should be seeing in future looks and reviews. I will be posting an update later this week and I am still planning some Halloween looks. Definitely keep checking back, especially on Instagram! Alright, so since this is my second haul here on my blog, I would like to break it down by store, so soon I will publish my Ulta haul and Miscellaneous haul - which will include random drugstore purchases and Indie make up brands. I have divided the post into two categories, New Purchases and Repurchases, so you can see what I have used before and love enough to repurchase and what I am trying out for the first time! Update!

Man this past month my life has really taken off! I started my new position with SpectraTix and also started working part time at Sephora on weekends. So yes, I literally have no days off, but I want to still come back here as my outlet for creative freedom! I have felt so blessed yet overwhelmed that all this began around the same time, but I am powering through! I am already working on my favorites for July since my need for good makeup and skincare has become more apparent. I have a few beauty nopes lined up for the next few weeks and hope to keep those going regularly again.  Don't forget to keep an eye on my social media, I have started post more on Instagram since most of my views come from there, but let me know if you would like me to revert back to giving the full details on all of my looks!  Thank you all so much for following me through this transition and hope you enjoy the looks as much as I do!!

June Favorites

Here are my June favorites, can't believe how fast last month went! There are some new goodies and some old ones, so check them out below and let me know what you guys think!! Hair Care Garnier Whole Blends Repairing Mask Honey Treasures $7 I'm sure by now you have all seen that Garnier released a whole new line with natural ingredients to help restore the health of hair! So far I have only dipped into this Honey Treasures Repairing Mask and it is fabulous! For $6, this paraben-free hair treatment softens and repairs hair to feel luxuriously soft and managable. Personally this is not my favorite scent, but after a few uses I got aquainted after these amazing results. My hair has seriously never felt healthier, more on that later. Skin Care Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm $29 I finally jumped on the bandwagon and picked this up in a trial size at Sephora. When removing my makeup for the first time, I could not believe it was just melting righ
